Aikawa Sousuke is an part-time employee who lives in a run-down condominium. At some point he hears a creaking sound from his ceiling, and abruptly the resident of the condominium above his, Unyuu Sunao, falls by a gap that seems in his ceiling onto his mattress. Thus begins Sousuke and Sunao’s comical lifetime of residing collectively.
